With the start of school fast approaching, the fall sports season will begin soon as well. In some cases before classes even begin. The school year begins at Green River High School on August 24 but both sports teams will be already into their schedules by then.
The baseball team will start right out of the gate with a region match-up on the road against Wayne on August 4. Their first home contest will take place on Friday August 6, as they take on Altamont at 3:00. With just nine players this season they will only field a Varsity team. They will finish the regular season on September 25 on the road at Altamont. The first round of the state playoffs will start on October 1.
The volleyball team will take to the court on August 13 & 14 when they will travel to Manilla for a pre-season tournament. They will begin play with a match against Gunnison Valley on August 17, with games taking place at 5 & 6:15 p.m. at Green River High School. Pinnacle will come to town on August 31 for their first region match of the season. They will end the regular season on the road in Monument Valley on October 15 and the opening round of the playoffs starts on October 23.
