Leslie Ruby Hanson, age 63, of Huntington, Utah, left this mortal life on September 8, 2021, for a long-awaited reunion with her parents, siblings, and many other loved ones in heaven. She was born in Price, Utah to Dorr William Hanson and Mary Elizabeth Hanson on August 24, 1958. She was their 6th child. Her light remains with all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Leslie was a very kind and gentle soul who showed love to everyone, no matter their beliefs or circumstance. She was at her happiest with family and friends around, especially her “grand babies”. She made it a point to learn as much as she could about people in her life and to make them feel special.
Leslie fought a lifelong battle with mental illness and tried to live life at its best.
Leslie was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many capacities. She especially enjoyed serving in the primary and visiting with members of her community and ward.
Besides her devotion to her family, Leslie enjoyed many crafts and writing thankyou cards. She loved animals, especially dogs and horses. In her earlier years she walked with her dog every day. She also enjoyed running and even participated in a few marathons. Leslie had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Parkdale Health and Rehab in Price, Utah. Leslie was in their care for the last several years of her life. Her tender love impacted many lives of residents, volunteers, and care givers alike.
She is survived by her son, Timothy (Cathy) Hanson; grandchildren, Matthew, Chase, Kamron, Alexa Hanson; sisters, Karla Liddell, Coleen Allred; brothers, Loel Hanson, Jonathan Hanson; sister-in-law, Dana Hanson; brother-in-law, Randy Bell.
Leslie joyfully reunited with her parents; brother, Dorr Jr. ; sisters, Leann Bell and Jeanne; niece, Heather; and nephews, Wayne and Sterling.
Funeral service, Saturday, September 18, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Huntington Stake Center. Where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment, Huntington City Cemetery.
