The Dinos soccer team met up with the Richfield Wildcats on Tuesday on the road in what would turn out to be another competitive contest with Carbon taking the 4-3 win in overtime.

The last time these two teams faced each other on September 2, the Dinos came away with the 5-4 win on penalty kicks.

Carbon came out and scored two goals in the first half and carried a 2-1 lead into halftime. The two teams would switch places in the second half with Richfield finding the back of the net twice and Carbon found it just once, bringing the the score at the end of regulation to 3-3.

Heading into the overtime period, Carbon did all that they had to do, score one goal and take the victory 4-3.

Molly Banks, Kacie Brady, Amiah Timothy and Thalyn Lyman all scored goals helping the Dinos seal the victory.

Carbon now sits at 8-3 and in the No. 5 spot in the RPI. With the State Tournament coming up on October 9th every game from here on in counts even more.

The countdown is on towards the end of the season as the Dinos have just three games left. Starting on Thursday with a road contest in Moab to take on the Red Devils. After that they will face Canyon View at home on Tuesday and Emery next Thursday when they face the Emery Spartans .
