Guadalupe (Lupe) Molinar, age 70, was found October 17, 2021 in Price after a community wide search for our loving husband, father, brother, uncle, longtime friend and co-worker.

He was born August 24, 1951 in Ejido Hernandez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Guadalupe Molinar and Sahara Trejo. Lupe was raised in Mexico by his mother along with his four siblings. Being the oldest son, he learned how to work hard to provide for his family at a young age. At the age of 18, he came to the United States in search of a better life to help continue providing for his family in Mexico. Lupe worked in Colorado to harvest fruits in the orchards. After working in Colorado for some time, he moved to Carbon County and started working with Hansen Roofing Co. In 1975, he began working on the railroad for the Denver Rio Grande. The Denver Rio Grande then became Union Pacific where he retired from after 36 years of service as a laborer, and for a short time, a truck driver.

In August of 1976, he met Marcella Montoya and eight months later they married in Elko, Nevada on April 2, 1977. Lupe continued being a hard worker to support his new wife and son Mark Montoya that he raised from the age of 18 months old. On December 3, 1991, along with his family, they were more than happy to welcome a daughter, Merlinda Molinar.

Lupe always provided for his family and was willing to help give a lending hand to anyone in need. He was very friendly with anyone that he encountered. There was always a smile and a conversation waiting there for anyone. Although Lupe was a very simple man and did not have many hobbies, he did enjoy camping and fishing with family and friends.

Lupe is survived by his wife, Marcella Molinar, son, Mark Montoya, daughter, Merlinda Molinar (Vinnie Rondinelli), all from Helper; his sister, Elva Molinar, Price; nieces and nephews, Frank (Selene) Molinar, Omar (Laurie) Molinar, Jessica (Mark) Reese, Cindy Molinar, Sigifredo Molinar, Ruby (Lalo) Sanchez, Oscar Molinar, Brian Molinar, Jason Molinar, Melissa (John Axelsen) Rogers, Mathew Montoya, Michael (Nicolette) Montoya, Mason Rogers, Makai Rogers; and special friends, Salomon Cazares and Vicente Chavira

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Romelia Molinar; brother, Oscar Molinar; niece Nancy Molinar; nephew, Gerado Molinar; in-laws, Candido and Celina Montoya; and a nephew, Maddux Rogers.
