West Coast Show Support is excited to heat things up in January with a show called The Helper Heat Wave. This event will take place on Saturday, January 15 at 7:00 pm at the Rio Theater on Main Street in Helper. Coordinator, Kenny Driggs was able to sit down with Castle Country Radio to discuss all the details.

“Two bands with exceptional talent, we’re talking about surf rock revivalist Johnny Utah. That’s your classic surf music but with a new modern twist. Slice is bringing rock steady, so if you’re a fan of reggae or ska that nice rock and roll pocket between the two of them, that’s rock steady and Slice knows how to do it,” said Driggs. West Coast Show Support is excited to be bringing this event to the local area. They hope to bring in more concert opportunities to the Rio Theatre for community members to enjoy.

Tickets for The Helper Heat Wave are currently on sale and will be available at the door. “Tickets are on sale now at HelpersRioTheater.Eventbrite.com it’s only $12.00. We’re talking three hours of music, exceptional talent and we’re going to splash a little bit of our lighting and video magic, and really bring to life a 60s/70s kind of surf scene. It’s going to be really, really fun,” stated Driggs. The Rio Theatre has undergone many changes and upgrades both physically and technically so your concert experience should be very pleasurable.

West Coast Show Support recently held a Classical Christmas Musical Concert and it was well-received by community members who attended so they plan on bringing it back again next year. “We did not expect the reaction that we got and we put a lot of effort into it and next year we’re actually going to tour a few locations. We have a lot of interest in what was seen so we’ll do a small tour next year and we’ll start right here in Helper and you don’t want to miss it,” explained Driggs. There were many talented musicians in attendance to make this concert extra special.
