Our loving husband, father, brother, papa, uncle and friend, Harold Dana Lynn Nielson returned home to his loving father in heaven on January 23, 2022 just three days shy of his 58th birthday after a short battle with cancer.

Dana was born January 26, 1964 in Salt Lake City to Aurthur Verdon Nielson and Betty Gene Cornwell.

Dana moved around throughout his life but was always proud to call Utah his home.  He was proud of his military service in the US Army and was a proud Republican. Dana was born into a large family that always had extra love.  Dana carried that love around with him throughout his life and was always willing to share it.

Married Julie Montoya in March of 1985 and they had three wonderful children together, Steven, Xela and Reyes.  They later divorced. In 2004 Dana met the love of his life and soulmate Angie Kerr.  They married on September 12, 2009 and they were sealed for time and eternity in 2017 at the Manti temple.  From the second Dana met Angie he took on the proud role of being an amazing step dad to her two girls Paisley and Misty. Dana unconditionally loved everyone especially his many nieces and nephews.  Uncle Dana always had stories to tell and something new to teach.  He truly lived life to the fullest, he loved anything outdoors, but most of all loved his drives in the desert and listening to some good classic rock.  Dana truly loved spending time with his family.  He met his best friend Marik his grandson in 2019.  He loved being a papa from the first moment he met him.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
