The Emery Spartan swimmers made the trip to Price for the Last Chance Invitational, the final regular season meet. With the regional tournament happening this week and the State Championships looming the first weekend in February, this was really an opportunity to see how you can match-up with other teams from around the area. Both Emery squads (boys and girls) finished in second place.

For the girls, it was Carbon that took the top spot followed by Emery and North Summit.

Cambrie Jensen took the top spot in the 200 yard individual medley turning in a time of 2:46.60 with team mate Katie McCandless taking second with a time of 3:05.56. Jensen also grabbed first in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:12.47. Aubrey Guymon swam her way to first place in the 100 yard fly in a time of 1:07.37.

The boys team also finished in second behind Carbon. North Summit and South Sevier finished in third and fourth.

The relay team of Alex Frederick, Kyler Minchey, Tyler Frandsen and Kade Larsen grabbed first in the 200 yard medley relay in a time of 2:03.07.

Up next this week is the Regional tournament in Richfield.
