The annual Peach Days Car Show will be held during the city’s celebration on September 9 and September 10 in Ferron. Right now, organizers are looking for entries in all categories to participate, plus they have added an event for the youngsters to be involved in this year. Castle Country Radio spoke over the telephone with Event Representative, Gerry Stotler to get all the details.

“We’re looking for cars, we’re looking for good-looking cars of course, but anything that’s got wheels on it,” said Stotler. All makes and models are invited to the annual show, this includes motorcycles, tractors anything with wheels. There will be awards given to various vehicles that participate.

This year the organizers have decided to host a model car show for children of all ages. “Right, right, we wanted to involve you know, we have all the adults bringing the cars, teenagers etc. but we want to involve the younger sect too like we did this year with the fox show. So yea, we thought it would be a good idea to get them started early,” explained Stotler. Youngsters are encouraged to submit a model car of any kind to the show for a chance to win prizes.

Organizers are looking for businesses/individuals to donate to the car show. “We know its hard for businesses right now because they are probably getting hit up by everybody else due to this time of year when everybody is doing Peach Days or Heritage Days all of it. So what we would like to do is we’re only asking for $50.00 to $100.00 donations from businesses or individuals. But if it’s a business we would allow them to put up a poster up at the auto show, something to advertise,” explained Stotler. This would be a great way to advertise one’s business while helping out the car show.
