It’s time for another Culture Connection Concert and this week’s series will be the kick-off to the annual Price City International Days celebration. Laura Olson with Olson Entertainment Group stopped by Castle Country Radio to share all the details of the evening’s concert.

Generally, Culture Connection Concerts start at 7:00 pm but guests are urged to arrive early as the opening ceremonies to International Days will kick off at 6:00 pm in the Price City Peace Garden. “Just like you said, the Opening Ceremony officially starts at 6:00 pm. They’re going to be announcing the Citizen of the Year, Grand Marshall, the National Anthem will be played and performed, things like that, it’s going to be great and following that will be music,” said Olson. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs, blankets to get a good seat on the grass to watch the upcoming bands scheduled to play throughout the evening.

“I’m so excited to have Give Me Rent come down. They are going to be opening for the night at 7:00 pm. They are based out of Utah County, they are more like an alternative jazz band, we kind of wanted to bring something new, change it up a little bit. Then we’re going to have Route 89 follow-up at between 8:15 pm/8:30 pm. They are, well I’m sure some people are familiar with them, they played at Culture Connection before. They’re more of a rock/pop, they play a lot of hits from like the 60s to today, so we’re really excited to have them” stated Olson. Both bands are sure to get the entire audience up dancing and singing all night long.

Guests can plan on enjoying dinner while there as there will be several food trucks stationed at the event. “So far we have Getting’ Our Smoke On, Ruben’s BBQ, Tallies and Smallies, the Sweet Treats Ice Cream Truck and that’s it,” said Olson. All menu items are very affordable for the entire family and will be open throughout the night.

Olson couldn’t end the interview without letting folks know about the upcoming Culture Connection on August 11, “So we’re going to have Michael Barrow and The Tourists, they are coming down, they’re from out of Utah County and we’re excited to pull them out of there because they’ve been busy headlining for a lot of festivals and concerts up there. Then following that to end the night and end Culture Connection is Suit Up, Solider, they are phenomenal, they’re great performers. They just performed along with Imagine Dragons this year and we are so, so excited to have them in Price.”
