The Lady Spartan volleyball team has earned wins in five of their last seven including their last three in a row. Tuesday they faced the Grand County Red Devils at the Spartan Center and took care of business in straight sets 3-0.

Emery sits at 9-8 and 3-1 in region play. They also hold the No.14 spot in the RPI compiled by the Utah High School Activities Association. Soon the RPI Rankings will be removed, but will continue to be updated until the final bracket will be released for the 3A State Volleyball Championships.

On Tuesday night the Spartans were clearly the better team taking a straight set win 25-16, 25-18 and 25-19.

The Lady Spartans have played through the first half of their league schedule and now will play each region team once more. They made it through that portion 3-1, with their only loss coming at home against Richfield. They will will have a chance to avenge that loss on Thursday when they travel south to take on the Wildcats.

After the contest with Richfield, they will head back to take part in the Sevier Valley Tournament next week.

Canyon View will come to town on Tuesday Oct. 11 for Senior Night and then they will end the regular season with their final two on the road. Wednesday, Oct. 12 they will make a trip to Price to face the Dinos and then the following Tuesday they travel to Moab to take on Grand.
