The Lady Dino and Lady Spartan soccer squads met on the soccer field for the second and final time in the regular season. Carbon handed Emery a 6-0 loss earlier this month, and on Tuesday night even though the score was a little closer the end result was the same, a Carbon win 3-1.

The RPI has been removed and will not be posted again until Wednesday Oct. 5 when the bracket for the 3A State Soccer Championships will be revealed. Carbon holds a record of 10-4-1 and 5-2 in Region 12 play and owned the No. 5 spot in the last rankings. The Spartans record sits at 4-11 and 2-5 in league play, and occupied No. 15.

Carbon took the early lead in this one finding the back of the net once in the first half and taking a 1-0 lead to the half.

The second half saw the Spartans sneak one past Emma Flemett, who played the full 80 minutes for Carbon in goal collecting five saves. Carbon would rally back from the 1-1 tie putting two more in the goal and taking the 3-1 win.

Kinley Cowdell put two goals on the board for the Dinos with Amiah Timothy adding the other. Kacie Brady, Shalyce Rahaula and Beverly Lancaster helped out with one assist each.

For Emery, Kaylee Mayne had the lone goal for the Spartans in the loss.

Up next for Emery is a road trip to Cedar City to face Canyon View, who sits at 12-3 and is a perfect 7-0 in region play.

For the Dinos, they will be at home to face the Grand County Red Devils for Senior Day. Grand is 1-6 this season and have yet to win a game against a region opponent.

The game against the Red Devils is set for 4 p.m..
