After their loss earlier in the week to Richfield the Lady Dinos slipped to No.5 in the RPI rankings. Thursday the welcomed the Canyon View Falcons to Price and claimed a straight set victory, 3-0.

Carbon faced a tough team on Tuesday when they took on Richfield on the road. Thursday night was not the case as they cut through the Falcons 25-17, 25-18. 25-9.

In the win over Canyon View, Dani Jensen helped the Carbon cause with six assists and ten digs. Madi Orth had 13 kills and Sav Hurst added 19 assists.

The win was enough to put the Dinos back in the top four with just a few contests left. Next week they will head to Richfield for the Sevier Valley Tournament. Last year during the tournament, the Dinos faced teams from North Sevier, South Summit, Crimson Cliffs and Panguitch. This go around they now their first opponent will be Grantsville at 5 p.m..

After the trip next week, the Lady Dinos will only have two games left in the regular season. Tuesday they welcome Emery to town, the Dinos dropped the first region meeting with the Spartans 3-1. Then on Thursday the Richfield Wildcats come to Price, and the Dinos will be looking for revenge for the 3-2 loss.

On October 19, the UHSAA will release the final RPI and bracket for the 3A State Volleyball Championships. The tournament will begin on Oct. 22 at home sites.

Carbons final two home games on Oct. 12 against Emery and Oct. 18 with Richfield are set to begin at 6:30.
