Carbon and Emery’s soccer squads ended the regular season last Thursday and had to wait until Wednesday morning at 9 a.m., for the release of the final RPI and the bracket for the 3A State Soccer Championships .Carbon ends the season at No.4 and Emery No. 15 in final RPI for soccer.

Real Salt Lake Academy claimed the No.1 spot in the RPI followed by Region 12 member Canyon View at No. 2. Morgan, last seasons runner-up landed at three with Carbon and Manti rounding out the top 5.

Carbon ended the regular season with an 11-4-1 record and a 6-2 mark in Region 12 play, the only losses came from the Canyon View Falcons, who own the No.2 spot in the RPI. The No.4 spot means that they have earned a first round bye and won’t take to the field until October 12 when they will face the winner of the match-up between No. 13 Grantsville and No. 20 South Summit. The Lady Dinos did meet up with Grantsville once this season back on Aug.8 on the road taking a 3-2 win. As for South Summit you would have to go all the way back to 2019 when the Dinos won a regular season road contest 9-2. Whomever they face the game will be played on Wednesday October 12 in Price.

The Lady Spartans finished the regular season 4-12  and 2-6 in league play. The No. 15 spot means they will face the No.18 Grand County Red Devils, in the opening round. Emery swept the Red Devils in both meeting this season, 4-0 and 4-1. A win in the game with Grand would mean that they would face No. 2 overall and Region 12 Champion Canyon View. Like every one in the region, Emery was swept by the Falcons in both meetings.  The game with Grand will take place this Saturday in Castle Dale.

The first three rounds will take place at home sites with the semi-finals taking place at Jordan High School on October 20 and the finals will be held at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman on October 22.
