With only a few meets left in the cross country season, the Carbon Dinos were on the road in Fairview to compete in the Sanpete Classic Invitational. Rozlyn Stowe would once again bring home a top finish for the Dinos taking first overall on the girls side and lead Carbon to a first place team finish. For the boys, Garrett Black would land in seventh as the Dinos would finish in third.

Stowe took the top ladies spot overall with a time of 18:32.8 followed by Jaylie Jenkins from Union. Oi Ling Stevens of Juan Diego, Cadence Kasprick and Ainsleigh Kasprick of Grand rounded out the top five.

On the team side for the girls followed by Carbon it was Grand, Manti, Union and Juan Diego.

For the Dinos, Ambree Jones finished the day in tenth, Lindsie Fausett (12), Sophia Taylor (13), and Beverly Lancaster (18), made up the scoring finishers for Carbon.

On the boys side it was Emery that claimed the top spot followed by Union, Carbon, Juan Diego and Manti.

Paul Squire of Union grabbed the top individual finish with a time of 16:32.9. Curran Madden of Juan Diego, Tezra Fish of North Sanpete, Patrick Reily of Juan Diego and Camden Larsen of Emery made up the top five.

Garrett Black was the Dinos top finisher coming in seventh place. Sean Stromness (22), Logan McEvoy (27), Dallin Humes (30) and Nathan Engar (33) finished in the top five.

Up next for the Carbon cross country team is a meet at Manti on October 10. After that there will be only the Region 12 Championships on October 19 at the Carbon Country Club, and the State meet on October 25 at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake.
