The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for their monthly luncheon on Nov. 17 so Castle Country Radio took time to sit down with Executive Director, Barbie Haeck to talk about the luncheon, as well as, about the upcoming Nurses Banquet on Dec 7.

The last monthly luncheon for the year is coming up on Nov. 17 as the Chamber does not host one during the month of Dec. due to the holidays and the big Nurses Banquet. This month’s luncheon guest speaker will be Sara Day with Utah Microloan Fund. “We’re going to spotlight Elevate Home Health, also V6 Media and the Community Spotlight this month is the HOPE Festival which is happening on Dec. 9. So Amanda McIntosh and her crew are going to come talk to us about what the HOPE Festival is all about,” said Haeck. The cost to attend is $18.00 for chamber members and $25.00 for non-members and it will be held at Price Chapel at 611 West Price River Drive. If you are interested in attending the Nov. luncheon you are asked to RSVP by Friday, Nov. 11, you can do so by calling the Chamber at (435) 637-2788 or by email at cccc@carboncountychamber.net

The Chamber is excited to be giving back to local nurses by hosting a Nurses Banquet on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the USU Eastern Jennifer Leavitt Student Center. “It’s free to nurses and a guest. All nurses in Carbon County – RNs, CNAs and LPNs. We’re trying to get the word out but please if you know anyone who’s a nurse, we would love to offer a free dinner to just show our appreciation. Not to mention, there’s going to be tons of cash prizes given away at the end of the evening,” said Haeck. If you are interested in attending the Nurses Banquet you are asked to RSVP by calling the Chamber at (435) 637-2788 or by email at cccc@carboncountychamber.net

Right now, the Chamber is looking for businesses to help sponsor the event. “So we have two levels of sponsorship, the first one is $250.00 and your name will be in the program and the second is $500.00, your name will be in the program on the banner and then we’ll recognize you during the event and also future radio spots or print ads,” explained Haeck. Your sponsorship will help provide the dinner and the $3,000.00 in cash prizes that will be given away to nurses at the end of the evening. This is a great way to show appreciation to the hardworking nurses in our area.
