The Boys & Girls Club–Price Club has gotten some new additions to their building and they are preparing for the holidays. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Club Coordinator, Quakee Tabone to talk about what is taking place at the club.

“We are packed and we are having so much fun. We recently hit 50 kids in our club and we’re rising and we keep going and we’re still enrolling, so there’s always a place if you want to come sign-up,” stated Tabone. The fee for the entire school year is only $20.00 and it’s a fun, safe, after-school program for elementary and teens. To register or to take a tour of the building you can stop by their location at 60 East 100 North in Price.

Now that the Boys & Girl Club has purchased their building, they have made some renovations to better accommodate the students. “We got new carpet; we got some new furniture going. We just got all new rolling chairs for the computers and it’s looking really great in there,” said Tabone. Officials have also done some painting projects to help brighten the inside of the building too.

The Boys & Girls Club–Price Club is looking forward to the holidays as they plan to be open to help parents with care for their students during the breaks. “Actually, the day before Thanksgiving the schools are closed but we’ll be open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, so if you need to get your holiday baking done, bring the kids over, we’re going to have Thanksgiving for them. Then for Christmas, we are going to be open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm all of Christmas break, besides the days, Friday and Monday before and after Christmas. But we will be open, we’re going to try to plan some fun field trips. Get the kids outside, hopefully go sledding if there’s some snow, we’re going to do some really fun stuff,” said Tabone.
