The Dinos swim teams traveled to Cedar City over the weekend to face schools from around the state and across classifications at the Cedar Invitational. With over 13 teams on the boys side and 14 on the girls this was the largest meet that they had taken part in this season. At the end of the two-day event the boys landed in the seventh spot and the girls in sixth.

For the girls it was Pleasant Grove claiming the top spot with 501 points. Host Cedar City was second and Crimson Cliffs landed in third. Tooele and Stansbury rounded out the top five with Carbon in sixth turning in a score of 153.

Alyssa Chamberlain claimed the only individual top five finish taking fifth in the 100 yard free with a time of 1:01.27, she would later join team mates Lisa king, Mia Crompton and Hadley Bower to earn a fourth place finish in the 400 free relay turning in a time of 4:21.57.

For the boys, Pleasant Grove also claimed the top spot with 467.5 and host Cedar was in second as well. Canyon View another Cedar City area school landed in third with Tooele and Crimson Cliffs making up the remainder of the top five. Carbon claimed the seventh spot with 123 points.

Gabe Ibanez was the sole Dinos on the boys side of the pool top earn top five finishes with a second place finish in the 500 yard free and a fifth place in the 50 yard free.

The Dinos will be close to home competing on November 22 at the Emery Aquatic Center, when they face Emery, Grand and Gunnison.
