18 points from Talon Tuttle led the Emery Spartans to a 81-48 victory over the Green River Pirates.

Emery started the game with a dominant first quarter. The Spartans scored 26 points while their defensive dominance continued. Green River was held to just 11 points after the first eight minutes.

The Spartans put on a show in the second quarter after they outscored Green River 30-4. Emery entered the half with a 56-15 lead over the Pirates.
Green River opened the second half with a sense of urgency and outscored the Spartans 19-14 in the third quarter. The Spartans, however, still led 70-34 with eight minutes left in the game.

Green River continued to outplay Emery in the fourth quarter, but the large halftime lead proved to be enough for the Spartans as the game ended 81-48 in favor of Emery.
Three Spartans finished the game with double digit points. Talon Tuttle led the Spartans with 18 points on 6-9 shooting, and was 5-8 from three-point range. Brett Rasmussen also finished in double digits after a 13-point outing. Rasmussen also finished with three rebounds and two blocks. Luke Justice finished with 10 points, one rebound and four assists.

Wade Stilson notably finished with six points, three rebounds and seven assists. As a team, Emery shot 67% from the floor and 41% from three.

Bridjer Meadows led the Pirates with 11 points on the night while Ryker Meadows finished with 10. Joe Vollmer also finished with 10 points for Green River.

Next up for the 2-0 Emery Spartans is a home game against 1-1 Providence Hall. The Patriots recorded a 50-46 win over American Prep in their most recent game. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m, Wednesday, Nov. 23, from the Spartan Center.
