The Pinnacle Panther girls started their season back on Nov. 18 with a win over the Utah Military Academy- Camp Williams, 44-21. Looking for another victory on Tuesday when they welcomed the Tintic Miners to town, the Panthers fell in a heart breaker, 42-40.

The Panthers found themselves down seven at half time 21-14, and the Miners would push it to a nine point lead going into the final quarter.

In the fourth, Pinnacle had their best offensive quarter, scoring 18 and holding the Miners to 11, but it just wasn’t enough as the Panthers came up just two points short.

Azure Jewkes had another big game for the Panthers with 10 points adding two rebounds and two steals. Gabby Alls added six with four rebounds, three steals and two assists. Persephone Jones also added six to go with her six rebounds.

The Panthers are back on the road Tuesday as they head to Moab to face the 2-1 Grand County Red Devils. Grand is sitting at 2-1 and plays in the 3A Classification.

Pinnacle won’t be home again until December 15 when Milford comes to town.
