The Deseret News released their All-State list for the 2022-2023 girls soccer and Carbon and Emery both had players make the lists. The Deseret News all-state teams are based on coaches votes from a list of nominated players from each team.

This year the top player in the 3A Classification was given to Emily Blanchard from RSL Academy, who led 3A in assists with 16 and also added 14 goals.

The Dinos ended the season at 12-5-1 and turned in a 6-2 record in region play. They entered the post season with the No.4 seed in the state playoffs, falling to Manti 3-0 in the quarterfinals.

Beverly Lancaster, a senior midfielder, earned a first team mention, her fourth All-State nod, in this season’s campaign she added 14 goals and 12 assist.

Carbon goalie Emma Flemett earned her second All-State nod, this time on the second team. Flemett, a senior registered 141 saves in 18 games this season for the Dinos.

The Spartans ended 2022 with a 5-13 record overall and 2-6 in region play,entering the state playoffs with the No. 15 seed, losing in the second round to Canyon View.

Senior defender Kaylee Mayne earned an Honorable Mention for the Spartans. Mayne finished the season with four goals in 17 games, while earning nine points.
