The 41st Annual Eastern Utah Women’s Conference will take place on Mar. 22 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the USU Eastern Campus in Price. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Executive Director, Amy Peters and Administrative Assistant, Madi Bennett to get all the details.

“We are really excited about this activity and just the change up a little bit too, we’re starting at 1:00 pm. We’re having activities from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, that will feature some yoga, some painting, macrame. One highlight is the cosmetology department is going to put on some services for folks, so come join us. Then we have that 3:00 pm Keynote Opening, then from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm we have great activities and our breakout sessions,” stated Peters. The breakout sessions include subjects like barbequing, baklava making, flower arrangements and other hot topics that are appealing to women. The evening will finish up with a dinner by USU Eastern Dining Services at 6:00 pm till 7:00 pm with guest speaker, Darlene Dilley who will be talking about Imposter Syndrome.

During the dinner the Woman of the Year will be announced and an award will be presented. Conference Officials are currently accepting nominations for the prestigious award. “So we are looking for people to recommend people to be Woman of the Year and this can be anyone that you think has gone above and beyond. Whether it’s in your personal life, the community, their career, just anyone that has done something amazing that you think they should be recognized,” said Bennett. All the nominations will go in front of the Women’s Conference Committee where they will vote on the nominees.

Registration is currently taking place, the cost is very affordable and will offer workshops, speakers and dinner. “So to register to be a part of the Women’s Conference to https://eastern.usu.edu/womensconference/ and right there you will find all the information for the save the date, its has the times, its has the fees. So right now full registration is $45.00, if you only want to come to the evening portion than it’s $25.00 and you can also find ways to, links, to be sponsor, or to register someone to be the Woman of the Year,” explained Bennett.
