Craig L. Martinsen (68) passed away on February 7, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was born on June 3, 1954, in Rupert, Idaho to Gary and Sharon Martinsen.

He married Janice Jones Forsgren on March 14, 1989, in Kauai, Hawaii.

Craig worked for Utah Power & Light/PacifiCorp in Utah and Oregon for 40 years and retired in 2014.

After his retirement, he and Janice moved to sunny Las Vegas.

Craig was a Past Exalted Ruler of BPOE Elks Lodge #1550 Price, Utah; a member of BPOE Elks Lodge #711 in Eureka “Tinic,” Utah, and BPOE Elks Lodge #336 in Salem, Oregon. He served as Utah State Elks Association 1st Vice President. He enjoyed boating at Lake Powell, fishing, watching sports, snow skiing, playing and listening to music, and entertaining his grandkids.

Craig was preceded in death by parents Gary and Sharon Martinsen, brother Neil Martinsen, and brother-in-law Trent Oram.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Martinsen, Las Vegas, Nevada; by his children, Jason (Heather) Forsgren, Salt Lake City, Utah; Kendra (Marc) Mochamps, Vancouver, Washington; Megan Martinsen, Washington, DC; and 5 grandchildren; his siblings, Rod (Lisa) Martinsen, Cindy (J.T.) Hill, Susan (Denton) Allen, Peggy Oram; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

At Craig’s request, there will be no services. Arrangements are under the trusted care of Mitchell Funeral Home of Price, Utah, where friends are always welcome and may share memories of Craig at https://www.mitchellfuneralhome.net. Family and friends will gather at a later date for Internment in Price City Cemetery.
