On Thursday, June 21, local businesses from around the Carbon County area gathered for the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce’s’ monthly luncheon. Opening up this meeting was a spotlight for the Fuller Center For Housing, an organization that has dedicated time and energy to helping residents of the Castle Valley Area improve their living conditions.

According to their mission statement, The Fuller Center is,” faith-driven and Christ-centered, promotes collaborative and innovative partnerships with individuals and organizations in an unrelenting quest to provide adequate shelter for all people in need worldwide.

Terri Tubbs, the executive director for the Castle Valley area, spoke at the event, stating,” Our goal every day is to serve our community. We work on repairing homes so that our senior citizens or low-income or handicapped people can have more stability in their homes as well as more access to safety features.”

Recently, the group had a group of bikers stop on a cross-country ride to help with home improvement projects such as painting, building a carport and general upkeep.

Tubbs also spoke on what’s coming up for the Fuller Center,” We have a golf tournament coming up on Aug. 3, we’re looking for sponsors, teams, and hole sponsors.” To participate in the golf tournament, you can reach out to Tubbs by calling the Fuller Center at (435) 637-9701, or through email at castlecountryfuller@gmail.com.
