Edward Hansen, loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and farmer, passed away surrounded by family on July 20, 2024. He was born June 4, 1937 in Ferron, Utah to LaMarr and Verda Hansen. He married his high school sweetheart, Norma Jean (Lowe) Hansen December 7, 1956. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple. They spent a loving and fulfilling marriage of 67 years in Green River, Utah.

He is preceded in death by their ninth child, Thad Hansen; his father, LaMarr Richey Hansen; his mother, Verda Seely; his brother, Richard Hansen; and his sister, Annett Martin. He is survived by his sister, Kaye Jones; eight children, Bart (Laurie), Perry (Catherine), Dusty (Brenda), Cheri (Larry), Edie (Mike), Shawnda (Sherry), Richey (Danielle), and Jeremy (Kristin); 29 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Family was, and will continue to be, a critical part of his eternal and earthly journey.

Edward has been long known for his kindness, acceptance of others, and his tireless work ethic. He has a deep testimony of Jesus Christ, the restored Gospel, and God’s eternal plan for his immediate and extended family, for those who have gone and those here on this earth. He and Norma Jean served together as loving couple missionaries in the Dallas Texas Mission from October 2005 to April 2007. He is a great example to his family, and to all those he knew, as someone who built his life upon the rock of Jesus Christ.

We love and miss you, Dad! Thank-you for your many years of service, love, and kindness!

The family would like to thank all those who love and support Edward and Norma Jean currently and over the many years.
