Price City’s annual International Days festival will kick off on August 5, bringing music, parades, food, and a carnival atmosphere to town. But there is another side to the event, a more competitive side. While the celebration begins in earnest on August 6th, some events get started as early as July 31.

The Legends three-on-three basketball tournament, a fundraising opportunity for the Carbon boys’ basketball team, will take place on the courts at Helper City Park on July 31. This is the second annual tournament, and in its first year, it brought over 30 teams to the area. There are 10 different skill levels to register for, ranging from 3rd grade to 30 years and older.

The next day, August 1st, the International Days Golf Tournament will take place at the Carbon Country Club. This tournament is very popular and, as a result, is full at this time. They are, however, taking back-ups, and you can add your name to the list by calling the Pro Shop at (435) 637-2388.

On August 6th, the same night as the opening ceremonies, the International Days 5K will take place at 8 p.m. Hosted by CERCUT, you can reach them for registration information at (435) 636-3200.

On Friday, August 7, the bags will start flying on the basketball courts at Washington Park as CERCUT puts on the cornhole tournament. Check-in will begin at 6 p.m., and games start at 7.

On Saturday, August 8, the Disc Golf Tournament sponsored by USU Eastern will begin on the campus course. The tournament will have a flex start with players able to register for times between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. All players must complete two rounds in that time frame.
