The Business Expansion and Retention (BEAR) program will hold a general meeting on Thursday, October 27 at 8:00 am in the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center located on the USU Eastern campus titled Manifesting Manufacturing as Your Preferred Future.

Guest speakers include Ethan Migliori, Dr. Gary Straquadine and other college staff to discuss the Utah Cluster Acceleration partnership grant that USU Eastern received.

The UCAP program is designed to strengthen collaboration between education, industry, and economic development in order to better respond to the needs of regional and statewide-designated clusters.

The idea of the meeting is to first, inform people in the area about the grant and its specifics, second to collect ideas from those that come to the meeting and finally get a greater depth of understanding from a broad audience of people about what the next steps are to take in using the grant and helping manufacturing in the area.

BEAR’s mission is to information, grow and improve business in the Castle Country area.

If you would like to know more about the BEAR general meeting you can contact their office at 613-5255.
