The USU Extension 4H program is teaming up with Carbon County Rec’s Summer Day Camps to offer various Science Camps for the youth. The camps are weeklong series that are held at the Carbon County Fairgrounds Event Center located at 450 South Fairgrounds Road from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The price to attend is $30.00 per child which will cover a daily lunch, along with one field trip.

The first series begins July 10 till July 14 for children ages 10 to 12 years of old. The workshop will focus on Environmental Science where children will learn everything there is to know about geology.

During the second series, children six and seven-years of age can attend Bugs! A Creepy Crawly Adventure, which will run from July 17 till July 21. Kids will get the opportunity to take a closer look at the insects and spiders all around us.

The final series, Island Adventures is for children eight and nine-years old. They will spend a week exploring and learning about ocean and costal life, including otters, manatees, polar bears and whales.

All of the series offer a hands-on approach to science by conducting exciting experiments and engaging activities.
