It has been almost a month since the news of Carbon Recreation Director, Frank Ori had suffered a massive stroke. Immediately when the news had gotten out on social media many began to show love and support by sending well wishes and prayers.

Several local businesses have held fundraisers over the last few weeks to ease the financial burden for Frank and his family. Those have included The Toy Store and More in Helper, TougHer Gym, Winger’s, Big Don’s Pizza in Price and Balance Rock Eatery and Pub in Helper.

Frank’s wife, Kristine has learned to juggle her time between the hospital and home with the help of family and close friends. She tries to share daily updates on a Facebook page that has been set up. Anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing Frank can view her updates by joining the “Carbon Cares for Frank” page. She has mentioned numerous times through her posts that Frank has good days and bad days, which is a sure sign that the road recovery will be a slow and those who know Frank, know that this is not a fast-enough process by his standards.

The family has been overcome with such emotion since Frank’s stroke, from the kind words, prayers, visits and financial support that has been a huge comfort and blessing They would greatly appreciate it if members of the community continue to keep him in their thoughts and prayers during his recovery.

Any community members that were unable to attend any of the fundraising events can still offer help to the family, there is an account that has been set up Eastern Utah Community Credit Union located at 675 East 100 North in the family’s name.
