Andrew Pete Siaperas, 86 passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 due to injuries sustained in a fall at his care center. He was born to Greek immigrants on November 21, 1931 in Sunnyside, Utah to Pete and Anna Konakis Siaperas. He married Rosina Nigro in 1955 and later divorced.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany. He worked for the Utah Department of Transportation in Price for over twenty-five years retiring as the head of the Sign and Paint Crew. Everyone who knew him said he was a perfectionist and always made sure anything he touched was better than the way he found it. He was a gifted carpenter and amazing artist, but perhaps his most enduring quality was his ability to tell a joke. You couldn’t spend any amount of time around him without coming away with many funny jokes to pass along. He also enjoyed hunting for many years in the La Sal Mountains by Moab and fishing at Scofield with his two sons.

He moved to Montana in the mid 80’s to work with his brothers Ted and John in their gold mine along the Continental Divide, and later owned and operated his own restaurant, Rose’s Cantina in Jackson Montana for many
years before returning to Price, Utah.

He is survived by his son Michael Siaperas (South Jordan, UT), He is also survived by his sister Diamond Fullmer (Randy) (Ogden, UT) and his granddaughter Cassie (Vance)Nelson (Kalispell, MT) and great-granddaughter Lily Nelson, granddaughter Alycia (Brock)Nordberg (Bluffdale, UT) and great-grandson Mick Nordberg, and granddaughter Jentry (Steven) Covert (Woods Cross, UT) and ex-wife Rosina Siaperas (Price, UT). He is also
survived by his daughter-in-law Kim Siaperas and granddaughter Jenny Thompson (Omaha, NB)

He was preceded in death by his eldest son Gregory Siaperas, his father Pete Siaperas and his mother and step-dad, Anna Vomvas and Pete Vomvas. Also preceded in death by brothers and sisters John, Ted, and Nick Siaperas and
half- brother Marino Vomvas, sisters Amelia Gabriella and Evangeline Redmond.

Our family extends a very warm thank-you to Legacy Care Center, Salt Lake City, Utah where Andy resided for the last two years of his life and to the exceptional care from Hospice during his care after the fall. Michael wants
to thank Kelsea McGregor for all the care she gave his dad in his final months and a very close family friend Jeff Thayn for the thousands of jokes from dad that he endured over the last 45 years.

A celebration of Andy’s life will be held on Saturday, August 18th, 2018 between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East South Main) in Price, Utah where friends and family are welcome to share their memories
of Andy.

Andy was born in Sunnyside and will go back home for his final resting place which will be later that day around 4:00 pm at “Range Valley Ranch” above Sunnyside, Utah, near Bruin Point. This is a remote ranch above 10,000 ft.
in elevation and will require a truck or SUV with four-wheel drive. Family members who would like to attend the burial or need transportation to the ranch please call Mike at 801-842-3755. After the burial, there will be food, drinks and you will get to see the amazing views from which Andy will have for all eternity.
