Jim Bob Eardley passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 26, 2018.  He was born on September 2, 1964 in Price, Utah to Josiah “Cy” Kyle and Etta Marie Hansen Eardley.  On September 27, 1984 he married Tammy Mascaro in Riverton, Utah.  They later divorced.

Growing up, he was a champion cowboy competing in high school rodeos in tie-down roping, steer wrestling and team roping winning 17 saddles and many other awards.  He worked as a pipefitter around the state of Utah for 20 years. In his later years, he took pride in taking care of his parent’s cattle ranch in Emery, Utah.  He was very talented and had a creative and artistic soul.  He could take anything and make it beautiful.  There was nothing he could not fix.  Jim Bob had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.  He loved the outdoors.  Most of all he loved his family. He may not have always shown it but he was so proud of them. He will be greatly missed and loved always.

Jim Bob is survived by his parents; daughters, Natalia “Nikki” (Brock) Naylor of Austin Texas, Kasie (Mike) East of McCammon Idaho, and Amanda (Nick) Childs of Rock Springs Wyoming; sisters Joetta (Lex) Hadley and Markette Eardley; six grandchildren, Dominic Naylor,  McKelle East, Kash East, Maci East, Parker Childs and Ellie Childs; nieces and nephews, Coby (Jasmine) Hadley, Jesse (Courtney) Hadley, Jamie (Challis) Willson, Marko Ilijic and Mikel Ilijic; and five great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde and Iva Dell Hansen and Alexander and Mary Eardley; and one nephew, Jayke Hadley.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the support they have received from family, friends and the community.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Emery LDS Ward in Emery, Utah. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
