The Emery girls made quick work of American Leadership Academy by a final score of 86-15.

This game was merely a formality as the Emery faithful got the outcome they expected. Emery has not lost a game all season and runs their overall win streak to 37 games going back to last year.

The Spartans were led by senior Meagan Jensen with 18 points, six rebounds and three assists. Kinlee Toomer dropped in 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting and Kacelyn Toomer added 14.  With the game well in hand early Coach Tuttle was able to rest his starters to get them prepared for three games in three days coming up next week at the quarterfinals in Richfield.

American Leadership was clearly outgunned in this one, not scoring a point until the second quarter. The game got out of their control early and they didn’t have an answer all day for the Spartans. Junior point guard Megan Edwards scored eight points and senior Jessica Henstra had three with all of her points coming from the free throw line.
