Henderson, NV – USU Eastern’s men soccer team traveled to to the extreme heat of Henderson, Nevada this weekend. On Thursday, August 29th The Eagles took on Arizona Western who is ranked nationally in the top 25.  . The team played very well and were able to hold the Matadors to an even tie of 0-0 after double overtime.

“We had the same amount of opportunities as they did and came close to winning the game multiple times,” says head coach Jared Woodhouse.

On Saturday our Eagles played another skilled team, Allan Hancock, and this time they were victorious. They were able to beat the Bulldogs 4-0.

“Our team is progressing well and taking steps to prepare for a very difficult conference,” Woodhouse says.

The Eagles will play again at home on Saturday September 7th against Moizer SC at 12 p.m. and USA at 2 p.m.
