The Carbon Lady Dinos extended their winning streak to 11 games with a dominating 8-0 win over the San Juan Broncos Tuesday afternoon in Blanding.

Jumping out to a monumental lead early, the Lady Dinos scored four goals in each half. The win moves Carbon to 7-0 in Region 12 play and 11-1 overall.

Senior Grace Broadbear scored four goals, running her season total to 25. Tuesday marked the fourth time this season she has scored at least three goals in an outing.

Ryan Brady helped push the Carbon offense with two goals. Shelbee Murdoch and Teah Lowery each scored once.

Goalkeeper Emma Flemett recorded the shutout, the third in four games for the team. In 12 games this season Carbon has allowed a team to score more than one goal only twice.

With only four games remaining in the regular season the Lady Dinos will prepare for a highly important contest Thursday at home against the Richfield Wildcats. Carbon currently holds a two-game lead over Richfield in the Region 12 standings.

Thursday will mark the second and final meeting between the two schools this season. Carbon won the first meeting on the road by a final score of 2-1. Start time for Thursday’s game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m..
