The USU Eastern Lady Eagles have moved up to No. 13 in the latest NJCAA Top 20 rankings, climbing one spot from last week’s poll.

USU Eastern dominated conference opponent Colorado Northwestern Community College in straight sets Saturday night in Rangely. The conference victory marked the only game of the week for the Lady Eagles, who now sit 21-6 overall, with a 2-1 mark in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

The Lady Eagles are one of three SWAC teams ranked in the top 20. Snow College remained No. 6 with a record of 22-2, while Salt Lake climbed one spot to No. 8 despite falling to Snow College on Oct. 3.

USU Eastern will enter a crucial stretch in conference play, facing both Southern Nevada and Snow at home this Thursday and Saturday. Thursday’s game will mark the first home tilt since Aug. 26 against Eastern Arizona.

Start time for Thursday’s contest contest against Southern Nevada is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.. Saturday’s home tilt against No. 6 Snow College will start at 3:30 p.m..
