Let the Carbon School District help serve your child a healthy and nutritious meal over the summer break. This year’s Summer Lunch Program will begin on June 8 and run till August 7 at five different sites within the district. The program is a free summer food program for children ages 18 and younger.

Because our region is considered an economically disadvantaged area the program offers several sites for families to visit. The sites where the free breakfast and lunches will be served are at Bruin Point, Creekview, Sally Mauro and Castle Heights Elementary. All of these schools will serve breakfast from 8:00 am to 9:00 am, and lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The Wellington City Park site is the only location that will NOT serve breakfast but will serve lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. All sites will serve children Monday through Friday.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will only be 50 individuals allowed inside the cafeteria. However, officials will have tables positioned outside for families to enjoy their meal, or parents can utilize the drive-thru method which will run through the bus circle at each school. Anyone and everyone ages 18 and under can eat for free and guests do not need to be from our county to benefit from this program. Again, this year, baby food will be made available upon request and as always adults may eat for $4.00 a meal.
