Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Dorothy Jensen Gordon Livingston passed away January 18, 2016 in Price, Utah at the age of 94.

She was born November 20, 1921 in Price, Utah to Alfred and Olive Russell Jensen.

Married Byrd Amos Gordon on September 20, 1940 in Huntington, Utah, they later divorced.  To this marriage four children were born.  On September 23, 1989 she married Thomas Reed Livingston in Price, Utah.  He passed away September 9, 2006.

Dorothy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked in many different callings.  She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family and friends.  She was an accomplished seamstress.  Her quilts and needlework were works of art that will be passed down for generations.  One of her favorite past times was playing cards with friends Theora Pilling, Ruth Ardohain and Mavis Wilson. Her dogs, Tuffy and Susie brought her much joy and comfort.  Dorothy was a wonderful cook who loved to entertain her family and friends.  Her favorite holidays were Halloween, dressing up in creative costumes and April Fool’s Day getting pranks over on friends and family.  Dorothy worked at J.C. Penneys making many lifetime friends.  Dancing was a big part of her life.  She and Reed spent many happy hours at the Senior Center dances.  Through her illness she and Jeannee Hunt, PA-C became very close friends.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survived by her children, Juanita Llewelyn, Sandy, Kathryn (Terry) Cowley, Portland, OR., Rand (Tama) Gordon, Price; brother, Art Lee, Mary Ester, FL.; sisters, Kenna (Marvin) Mutz, Price, Jessie Petersen, Wellington; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Gordon; son-in-law, Bill Llewelyn; granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Gordon; brothers, Clark Lee, Terry Lee, Blake Lee and Harrison Lee; sisters, Thelma Atwood, Cora Bradley and Shirley Duran.

Funeral service, Thursday, January 21, 2016, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) Price.  Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to service.  Interment, Price City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Dorothy online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
