The Carbon Lady Dinos continued their stellar play by winning their seventh game in eight tries as they blasted through Provo 15-0 Wednesday night on the road.

Desi Lantz knocked a home run and Chandelle Nichols finished with two doubles as Carbon's offense scored in each of the six innings. Seven other players registered doubles in the blowout win, which is the team's third straight overall.

Kaytlyn Cripps registered her second win on the mound in a dominating effort. Despite several low scoring affairs, Wednesday was the first shutout of the season for Carbon.

After starting the season 4-0 with wins over Emery, Pine View and two schools from outside of the state, the Lady Dinos suffered their first on Friday against Highland (Idaho) High School. Following the loss Carbon defeated South Sevier and Bonneville.

Carbon will return to the field on Friday as they travel to meet the Uintah Utes at 3:30 pm. The team will travel once again on Tuesday as they open Region 12 play on the road against North Sanpete.
