ABAJO MOUNTAINS: (March 17) Conservation Officer Dennis Shumway reports that fishing is picking up in San Juan County. The ice is off at Blanding #3, #4 and Recapture Reservoir. PowerBait has been especially good at Blanding #3. Gold spinners and crankbaits are usually a good choice at Recapture. As of March 14, ice still covered Lloyds Lake, Foy Reservoir and Monticello Lake.
BENCHES POND: (March 11) Access by snow machine or snowshoes. Several feet of snow covers the ice cap. Ice thickness is unknown. No report on fishing success.
BLUE LAKE: (March 11) Located near Grassy Lake, this shallow pond is home to many small trout that hide in aquatic vegetation close to the shoreline. Try salmon eggs, PowerBait or pieces of worm.
BOULGER RESERVOIR: (March 11) Access by snow machine only. Two feet of snow covers the ice of unknown thickness.
CLEVELAND RESERVOIR: (March 17) The ice hardened during the past week. Angler pressure has been light.
DUCK FORK RESERVOIR: (March 11) The reservoir has iced over, but there haven't been any recent fishing reports.
ELECTRIC LAKE: (March 11) A snow machine will be needed to access the open water around the mine water discharge pipe on the north side. Access to the dam on the south side is a steep and slippery descent from Highway 31. Ice thickness is unknown. There's no evidence of angler use since the last snowfall.
EMERALD LAKE: (March 11) Success has been reported using flies, spinners or worms.
FAIRVIEW LAKES: (March 11) The lakes are inaccessible except by snow machine. Two or three feet covers the ice cap. Ice thickness is unknown.
GIGLIOTTI POND: (March 17) Worms and PowerBait are effective.
GOOSEBERRY RESERVOIR: (March 11) Access will be by snow machine only. Deep, heavy snow in excess of three feet continues to blanket the ice cap.
HUNTINGTON CREEK: (March 11) The creek below Electric Lake Dam is open. The fish population above South Hughes Canyon was not affected by the Seeley Fire. Cold-tolerant fly fishermen have had good luck with nymph patterns. As much as two feet of snow blankets the bank.
HUNTINGTON NORTH RESERVOIR: (March 17) On March 13, Tom Ogden fly-fished for more than six hours. A size 8 beadhead olive leech was the most effective pattern. His six rainbows ranged from 13;15 inches. On March 12, Joe Christensen and a friend fished for five hours and caught five rainbow trout up to 17 inches. Joe recommends a small Rapala or Jake's.
HUNTINGTON RESERVOIR: (March 17) Also known as Mammoth Reservoir, this will be one of the last reservoirs to thaw this spring. The ice hardened during the past week.
JOES VALLEY RESERVOIR: (March 17) The reservoir is ice-free. We haven't received any recent angler reports.

MILLER FLAT RESERVOIR: (March 11) Access will be by snow machine only.
MILLSITE RESERVOIR & STATE PARK: (March 17) Reports indicate fair to good fishing for trout, especially rainbow trout from the bank with PowerBait. The reservoir is ice-free. Most of the fish they caught were in the 13- to 15-range.
PETES HOLE: (March 11) The pond has iced over. There haven't been any recent reports on ice thickness or fishing success.
