Michael John Perri Sr., 91, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at his home following a lenghty illness.  A Wyoming resident for the past fifty years and former resident of Spring Glen, Utah.

He was born on April 18, 1924 in Spring Glen, Utah, the son of Domenico Perri and Maria Jiuseppa Fazzio Perri.

Mr. Perri attended the Carbon High School in Price, Utah and graduated with the class of 1944. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he received two purple hearts.

He married Ellen Casella on June 22, 1946 in Helper, Utah and she preceded him in death June 13, 2013.

Mr. Perri worked for Stauffer Chemical for 20 years as a Mine Supervisor until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the Young at Hearts Senior Citizens, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

His interests included spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, gardening, painting, bowling, spending time at his cabin and enjoying the great outdoors.

Survivors include one daughter, Debra L. and husband Mark  Rubeck of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one daughter in law Sandra Perri from St. George, Utah; one sister Emma Beacco of Price, Utah and one Sister in law; Jama Grundy of Helper, Utah, four grandchildren:Nicki Ann Kirkwood of Spring Glen, Utah, Dennis Perri Rubeck of Green River, Wyoming, James Domanic Rubeck  and Ellen Markae Lester both of Rock Springs, Wyoming,  eight great-grandchildren; Jessica Kirkwood and Jake Kirkwood both of Spring Glen, Utah, Kristen Mitchell, Emma Rubeck, Joseph Lester, Tiana Lester all of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Chezni Anne Rubeck and Stone Rubeck both of Green River, Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Michael Joseph Perri Jr. six brothers: Domenic Perri Jr., Basil Bill Perri, Ross Perri, Tony Perri Sr., Angelo Perri and Peter Perri, three sisters; Venice Perri Lami, Florence Perri Butkovich and Viola Perri, three nephews; Ross Perri Jr., Tony Perry Jr., and Frank Butkovich, two nieces; Peggy Cripps, and Jaclyn Perri.

A Vigil Service with Rosary will be recited  at  6:00 P.M. Monday  April 11, 2016 at the Vase Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Friends may call on Monday, one hour prior to the rosary at the Vase Funeral Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, 210 No. Carbon Ave., in Price, Utah.  A vigil service with rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main) in Price, Utah.  Friends may call Mitchell Funeral Home Wednesday one hour prior to the vigil service for viewing and remembrances.  Graveside Services and Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Helper, Utah.
