Emery County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a call at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2016 reporting a motorcycle accident just north of Joe’s Valley Reservoir near the Reeder Subdivision road. Joe’s Valley Reservoir is 16 miles west of the city of Orangeville in Emery County.

Killed in the accident was 28 year-old Jeramy Stephan of Sandy, Utah.

From investigation of the accident scene, it appears the victim misjudged a curve in the road. The motorcycle left the roadway and the victim was thrown from the bike before it returned to the roadway. The victim was not wearing a helmet and suffered head trauma. His body was transported to a local mortuary and next of kin were notified.
