With less structure and adult supervision, the summer is ripe with opportunities for teens to fall into a bad crowd or get into other forms of mischief. Price City and Carbon County Recreation are excited to partner together for the TGIF In The Park.  This is open to anyone ages 13 years old or older.

TGIF events will be held every Friday night from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm during the summer months. The cost to participate is very affordable and goes to help cover basic costs, $2.00 per event, $7.00 a month or $20.00 for three months.

The TGIF event allows the Desert Wave Pool to be open every Friday night for the teens and young adults to enjoy swimming, canoe battleship and other fun water activities. In addition to the pool being open, there will be other happenings going on in the park to participate in.

The tentative schedule is as follows:

          Friday, June 10       Opening Day – poolside dance, free hot dogs and drinks.

Signups for horseshoe and basketball league.

          Friday, June 17       Horseshoes, basketball and Lunatic Triathlon activities

          Friday, June 24       National Guard Activities

          Friday, July 1          Fireworks, horseshoes, basketball, hot dogs, chips and drinks, pool party

          Friday, July 8          Scavenger Hunt Competition

          Friday, July 15        Night Disc Golf

          Friday, July 22        Capture the Flag/Night Games

          Friday, July 29        International Days Stuff: Movies, Pool etc

          Friday, August 5      Jumbo Ball Fun

          Friday, August 12    Flag Football (Nerf)

          Friday, August 19    National Guard Activities

This is a great opportunity for teens and young adults to step away from electronics and meet new people for the summer.
