Barbara Louise Lish Evans, age 92, passed away peacefully June 24, 2016 at Pinnacle Care and Rehabilitation with her son Dale and his wife Ann at her side.

She was born December 29, 1923 in Deweyville, Utah to Lloyd Ernest and Viola Katherina Harry Lish.  Married Gerald Naylor Evans, June 29, 1946 in Columbia, Utah; he preceded her in death on March 3, 1983.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Barbara was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings.  As a longtime resident of East Carbon, Barbara worked as a payroll clerk for Kaiser and as the Business Administrator for the Carbon Medical Clinic for 26 years.   She shared a great appreciation for music and in her earlier years she taught tap dancing and played in the orchestra.  She loved gardening and tending to her flowers with her grandchildren at her side.

Barbara loved playing Bingo and was considered by many residents as the “Bingo Queen”.  The family would like to thank everyone who cared for and loved Barbara while making Pinnacle her home.  Also a special thanks to her beloved friend Ray, and  “All Her Family” at Pinnacle Care and Rehabilitation.  Your many acts of kindness will be cherished forever.

Survivors include her son, Dale (Ann) Evans, Price; daughter, Sherry Ann Brand, Kingman, AZ; four brothers and three sisters, Lloyd Jr., Ray, Kent, Marion, Jessie, Judy and Karen; four grandchildren, Ryan (Brandee) Evans, Gia (Jeremy) Bonuales, Shaun Brand and Diane Brand; and many loving great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, three brothers and two sisters, J. Harry, Joe, Renae, Luella and Virginia.

Funeral service, Wednesday, June 29, 2016, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price.  Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Tuesday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to service.  Interment,  Price City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Barbara online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to United Way of Eastern Utah, 67 East Main Street, Price, Utah 84501.
