The Helper American Legion baseball team completed the season sweep of Price by dominating the third and final game between the two teams 20-1 Monday night at the USU-Eastern baseball field.
Anthony Maclean recorded the win on the hill for Helper, pitching three solid innings of one run ball. Zac Bradley replaced Maclean in the fourth and allowed just one hit in the relief effort to help register the win.
Cole Fossat led the offensive explosion for Helper, finishing with two two home runs. The win for Helper comes two weeks after the team scored back-to-back wins over Price on June 13. With the victory Helper improves to 6-0 in league play, while Price dips to 2-3.
Helper will have a golden opportunity to inch closer to a playoff spot as they play host to St. George on Tuesday. Price on the other hand will travel to Vernal on Thursday for double-header action, beginning at 4:00 PM.
