The Huntington Miner’s Memorial Satellite Monument Dedication will be held on Saturday, August 6 at 1:00 pm. The monument will commemorate the history of mining in Emery County.

Guest speaker will be Kevin Tuttle from Orangeville who has spent his lifetime working in Emery County coal mines.

This is the fourth satellite monument of a five phase project that has been planned by the committee. Other monuments have been constructed along with ceremonies at Pleasant Valley Days in Scofield, Community Days in East Carbon, San Rafael Museum in Castle Dale and the final monument will go up at the Arts Festival in Helper.
