The 7th Annual Broncs and Bulls Rodeo will make its return to the Huntington Arena on Saturday, Sept. 24.

“When we starting the event we wanted something that we could continue with and make better every year,” said organizer Will Payne. “Huntington Canyon is a nice setting for a rodeo. It gets a little cool weather wise and helps make for a nice night.”

This year’s rodeo will once again be packed with the traditional events such as the bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback and barrel racing. Other events include the children’s chicken chase and cash calf.

The rodeo itself will begin at 7:00 pm, but the children’s rodeo will get the action moving at 4:00. That event will include mutton bustin’, calf and steer riding, mini bull riding, stick horse barrel racing and junior barrels.

“The kid’s rodeo is important part of what we do,” said Payne. “During the main event we will make sure the kids can get involved too with the cash calf and the chicken chase.”

The stock for this year’s event will once again be provided by Rocking B Rodeo. Entries to enter the event will open on Sept. 18 and remain open until Sept. 21 at 5:00 pm.
