Flora Jean Kerbovich Kokal, age 88, passed away September 5, 2016 at the Heirloom Inn in Price.
She was born February 27, 1928 in Tolerburg, Colorado to Tony and Mary Brotovich Kerbovich. Married Tony “Toots” Kokal, Jr., June 29, 1947 in Grantsville, Nevada; he died June 11, 1986.
Flora was a longtime resident of Spring Glen where she was blessed with a wonderful family and a community of friends. She was a member of the Slovenian Home in Spring Glen, S.N.P.J. Lodge # 757 and a faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper.
Flora enjoyed caring for her family and she was a caregiver to many. She loved cooking, baking and handiwork. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her three daughters, Jeannette Marasco, Spring Glen, Helen (Gregg) Larsen, Spring Glen, Kris (Scott) Cox, Mapleton; son-in-law, Willie Lopan, Price; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Flora was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Mary Lopan; son, Tony Kokal, III; son-in-law, Terry Marasco; five siblings, Tony Kerbovich, Ann Slavensky, Frank Ularich, Angie Zorn and Mary Klarich.
Funeral service, Friday, September 9, 2016, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Vigil service, Thursday evening 6:00 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Thursday and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.
