Dixie Lee Swenson Blackham, 65, returned suddenly and unexpectedly to her Heavenly Father on September 19, 2016.

She was born March 13, 1951in Price, Utah to Don and Pearl Elizabeth Parry Swenson.  Married Johnny Lee Blackham in Ely, Nevada; they later divorced.

Dixie’s pride and joy were her grandchildren.  The times she shared with Jayden were the most joyous times of her life.  Dixie loved talking to her other grandson’s from California on the phone whenever she got the chance.  Dixie was blessed with the gift to gab and she loved visiting with everyone.  She was kind, compassionate and always concerned about the well-being of others.

Dixie enjoyed spending her mornings feeding Crystal’s ducks, geese and chickens, and she would do this faithfully every day. She recently took up 4-wheeler riding, only because Jayden wouldn’t have it any other way.  She really began to like it.  Dixie loved waiting on and caring for her loved ones, and it always brought such a smile to her face.  Dixie was able to spend some time with her daughter Jodie who came to visit in March.  Dixie dedicated her life to the service of others and for years she worked at the Parkdale and Pinnacle Care Centers where she warmed the hearts of many.  Her beautiful smile and uplifting spirit will be sorely missed by all. “Mom, we all love you.  Fly high sweet angel of ours. Till we meet again.”

Survivors include her sister, Vickie Olsen, Price; children, Crystal Swenson, Kenilworth, Stephan Blackham, East Carbon, Jodie (Henry) Crossley, Tulare, CA; grandchildren, Jayden Shaw, Jordan, Tyece, Henry Jr., Crossley; Jasmine and Darrion Blackham; very special friends Keith Birch and Robert Cook; nieces and nephew, Bobbi Olsen, Price, Amy (Bob) Ganser, Rangley, CO, Wade Olsen, Price.
