The Emery Lady Spartans were unable to keep pace with the Gunnison Bulldogs, falling in a 3-2 thriller Tuesday afternoon in Gunnison on the soccer field.

Despite holding a 2-1 lead at half time, Emery was unable to hold off a potent offensive performance from Gunnison in the final stanza. Kate Sorensen led the push with two goals for the Lady Bulldogs, while Jade Wimmer added one.

Morgan Hurdsman and Addy Healy both scored one goal for the Lady Spartans in the setback. The loss comes following back-to-back Region 15 wins over Grand and North Sevier.
