The USU Eastern Softball team’s youth clinic originally schedule for Friday, Sept. 23, has been moved to Friday Sept. 30 due to extreme weather. The clinic is for girls ages 6th through 9th grade and will take place at the Carbon County Fairgrounds.
Instructions will be handled by USU-Eastern softball players, and coaches Brittani Richins and Brandi Lovato. This will give players and parents in the local area an opportunity to see basic philosophies being taught as the team enters their first season of existence.
“The girls will pretty much be running the clinic and we will be there supervising it,” said Richins. “It will be fun to see how the girls interact with the kids in the community.”
Pitchers and Catchers will go from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Pitchers will need to bring their own catcher. From 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm the clinic will focus on hitting and fielding with the possibility of a scrimmage after.
The cost to attend to the clinic will be $20.00 per player. It’s asked that those participating bring everything they would need for an actual game. Registration will be open at the camp.
