The USU-Eastern Lady Eagles soccer team made easy and quick of Colorado Northwestern, sweeping a weekend set by a combined score of 22-1.

Improving their conference record to 4-1-2 the Lady Eagles were dominate in both games, bouncing back from a win-less weekend against Snow College. The two victories puts USU-Eastern just one win behind Snow for first place in the conference.

In Friday’s game 11 different players scored one goal as USU-Eastern cruised to an 11-0 win. Hillary Nice delivered the game’s first goal just three minutes into regulation off of an assist from Ryan Virgil. McKenna Brown, Kori Jorgensen, Alexis Hill, Samantha Hall and Adri Sorenson all scored in the first half to give the Eagles a 6-0 lead at the break.

The second game of the weekend set played out in similar fashion as the Lady Eagles blasted Colorado 11-1. Alexi Barbosa and Rachel Neff both found the back of the net twice in the lopsided affair. Colorado scored their lone goal of the weekend in the second half with the game already out of reach.

With only five games remaining on the regular slate the Lady Eagles will look to continue their winning ways when they play host to Salt Lake Community College on Tuesday. The two teams have met twice already this season, with USU-Eastern winning one and the other ending in a tie.

Below are the current women’s soccer standings entering Tuesday’s action against Salt Lake:

1- Snow College: 5-0-3
2- USU-Eastern: 4-1-2
3- Salt Lake Community College: 3-1-4
